Our Story
Bridie Thorne Hairdressing was founded in 2019. After leaving the salon I worked at in Gloucester, I decided to take a leap of faith and go mobile. During the pandemic, I took the next big step and opened my own salon in Coleford. Before long, we had outgrown the space, and that’s when I got the keys to my very own barn — the perfect home for Bridie Thorne Hairdressing.

The Barn
Harts Barn in Longhope, Gloucestershire, started as a Norman hunting lodge for William the Conqueror's hounds in the Forest of Dean, with its main structure largely built in the 18th century but incorporating older timber-framed elements from the 17th century. It served various purposes, including part of a historic milling complex (Harts Barn Mills), and later became a renowned craft centre

I specialize in weddings and provide customized packages designed to meet your specific needs for brides, mothers of the bride, bridesmaids, or general updos. I have received extensive training from various world-renowned hair-up specialists.
Host
At BTH, we make the most of our barn and surrounding space, always looking for new ways to connect with our clients and support local businesses. We regularly host events and workshops, the space is also available to hire upon request.
